Kate Pittas is a Brisbane based artist inspired by Australian flora & botanical forms. Her approach is semi abstract, with a focus on capturing the movement & energy of the plants along with the mood & atmosphere of each season. Kate is influenced by her love of being outdoors, immersed in nature & often paints with a variety foliage and flowers strewn across the studio. This helps her to inject a little of the essence of the plants she paints into each piece of art.
Kate's chosen cause is Rural Aid.
Rural Aid was founded in 2015 to provide a holistic support program to rural Australia. Weather events such as drought, fires and cyclones mean that there is even more call for their services.
Musee will donate 50% of the profits from sales of the Musée x Kate Pittas 'Flower Market' collection to this important cause.
