Can you tell us about your art 'Stormy Waters'?
I love being near the ocean, it instantly calms me! I love to work with Aquas and dark blues as these colours are also very calming. This piece reminds me of waves crashing.
Is there a certain place you go for inspiration?
Definitely the beach! I also love going to art galleries and Pinterest is always inspiring.
What do you do to get into your creative zone?
I love to have the windows in my studio wide open, the fresh air and sound of the birds is always a great starting point for each painting.
If your creative work were edible, what would it taste like?
Ooh I love this question! A fruity Sorbet I think, an explosion of different tastes.
What is the best advice that you have been given in life?
Do what scares you. Some of the best things in my life have usually come from taking risks, moving to the other side of the world, changing jobs or taking on commissions I'm not always confident in creating. Some of my greatest achievements have come out of taking a leap of faith. I try not to regret anything.
What charity or cause have you chosen to support through Musèe and why?
The charity I have chosen to support is cleanocean.org. An environmental charity founded in 2000 by beachcombers, swimmers, fishermen, surfers and other lovers of the sea. Their ongoing mission is to stop ocean pollution and restore oceans to their former health.
